Our current ministry

Empower & Transform

Serve at a local CYCC
We serve at the local Child and Youth Care Centre (CYCC). We run a variety of educational and recreational programs, including homework support, outings, camps, “Boys Talk” sessions about relationships and life choices, crafts, handwork and holiday programs.
Outreach to Rosmead
We have a weekly program at the local primary school, as well as Bible studies for adults. We also organise community days filled with fun, practical help and opportunities to learn new skills. Alongside this, we work with children and young people in the community, creating safe spaces where they can belong, grow and discover their potential.
Discipleship
Discipleship is at the heart of what we do. We walk alongside people in Rosmead, building relationships and encouraging them in their journey with Christ. Beside this, we also have a weekly gathering with parking guards in Middelburg, where we have started a journey together towards transformation through Christ.

Dreams for the near future

Our vision is to grow step by step, responding to the needs we see around us and creating opportunities to protect, empower and transform the lives of vulnerable children, young people and families in Middelburg and the surrounding communities.

Heavenly Home - Hemelhuis

A Family-Style Safe Haven to Protect the vulnerable

First step: we want to establish a family-style safe haven for vulnerable children in Middelburg, where they can grow up in a loving, stable and supportive family environment.

Through this home, we want to provide safety, healing, education, discipleship and preparation for independent living. Our desire is to give children not only a safe place to live, but also the opportunity to heal, develop their potential and grow into confident, independent young adults.

18+ Transitioning

Preparing for Independent Living

Preparing young people for independent living starts well before they turn 18. However, some young adults need more time, guidance and support before taking the big step into the world on their own.

We want to establish a transitional living home where young adults can receive the support they need to prepare for independent living. They will be mentored, equipped with practical life skills and encouraged to grow in responsibility, faith and confidence.

Our goal is to help each young person take that next step towards a healthy, independent and purposeful life.

Skills of Hope

Skills & Empowerment

In rural areas like Middelburg and the Karoo, young people often have limited opportunities to learn practical skills that can help them find employment.

We see a great need to equip and empower young people with practical, job-related skills, giving them greater opportunities to find work, become self-reliant and build a better future.

Our desire is to create a place where young people can discover their talents, develop practical skills and gain the confidence and experience they need to take the next step.

Start small, dream big

Dear Heaven's Hope,

From the bottom of our hearts in Rosmead, we want to say a very big thank you to you for today.

Thank you for the fun, the laughter, and especially for the second-hand clothes that you brought for our people. It was a great blessing and made many hearts happy.

Today you showed us what it means to give with love. May the Lord bless you abundantly in return for every hour, every prayer and every piece of clothing.

We sincerely appreciate you. With much love and gratitude,"

Like Abraham, Christoph and Karen are people of profound faith who courageously stepped into the unknown, leaving their homeland behind. Through that same vibrant faith, they are raising many in the service of God—and I pray their spiritual family grows as limitless and bright as the stars in the sky.
